Audio watermarking embeds an imperceptible identifier directly inside the audio signal itself — not in the file metadata, where it could be stripped. RemixTrack generates a unique watermark per download, linking every copy back to the recipient. If the track ever leaks, you can match a sample against your records and trace it to the original source.

Is the watermark audible? Will it affect audio quality?

No. RemixTrack uses psychoacoustic watermarking that operates below the threshold of human hearing. The watermark survives MP3 compression, format conversion, partial cuts and DJ mixing, while the listener perceives the same audio quality as the original.

Can DJs or pirates remove the watermark?

Accepted Answer

Removing a robust audio watermark requires re-encoding the file in ways that severely degrade audio quality — making the leaked copy unusable. Standard tactics like trimming, normalising, re-compressing to MP3 or recording the output do not strip the mark. That's the whole point of forensic watermarking versus metadata-based DRM.

How does leak detection work?

Upload a suspect file (or a 15–30 second sample) and our detection engine runs it through the same GPU pipeline that embedded the watermarks. It returns the recipient ID, the download timestamp and the original track — usually in seconds. The plan-tier detection limits are documented on the Pricing page.

Does RemixTrack integrate with WordPress and WooCommerce?

Yes. The official RemixTrack plugin hooks into WooCommerce downloads: when a customer requests a track, the plugin requests a freshly-watermarked copy from RemixTrack and serves it instantly. No code changes needed — install the plugin, paste your API key, done.

What audio formats and bitrates are supported?

RemixTrack accepts WAV, AIFF, FLAC and MP3 as source. The watermarked output is delivered as MP3 by default (the format DJs and customers expect); higher-quality lossless output is available on Studio and Enterprise plans.

How long does watermarking take?

Most tracks complete in 3–8 seconds end-to-end. RemixTrack runs on GPU compute with a warm-container pool, so there is no cold-start penalty for active accounts. For WooCommerce downloads the customer sees a brief progress indicator and gets the file directly.

Is my music and customer data secure?
