Survives the whole chain
A leaked promo is never the file you shipped. Either it got mangled on the way — re-encoded, converted, forwarded through three apps — or somebody who knew it was marked tried to wash the mark out. Both end up doing the same four things to the audio.
Neither works. The mark is spread through the signal rather than attached to it, so removing it means degrading the audio until the copy is not worth leaking.

Bounced out of a DAW as a fresh MP3 — or re-compressed on purpose to scrub it.
Converted
Forwarded through WhatsApp, which re-encodes everything to Opus.
Stripped
Every tag deliberately wiped. The mark is in the signal, not the metadata.
